If you are one of our vegetarian or vegan neighbors we have lots of delicious ingredients ready to make into a sandwich that will blow you away. If you’ve ever eaten at a Che Fico restaurant and remarked how much the vegetables were the standout of your meal, you’re not alone. Our relationships with our farmers are perhaps the biggest secret to our success. At Mercato we shop the exact same way and bring the best of what’s in season to our neighbors.

Our meats are sourced locally as well as from other geographic regions that raise animals according to our standards. We take animal welfare, quality of life, diet, and all other thoughtful farming processes into account when making our selections. Only the finest quality meats will ever enter our doors.

Our prepared food section is meant to accommodate any desire or necessity our guests have. We hope that even the person with the most staunch diet will find themselves at home next to someone who is picking up a massive tray of focaccia sandwiches for the big game. During the R&D process our chefs take into account serving sizes as well as dietary restrictions.

Can’t afford a ticket to Roma or Sicilia? Come join us for a quick trip via Gelato. Our gelato is made fresh and spun daily in the market. We use the best ingredients from around the world as well as the top produce from local farms to craft the most luscious frozen delights this side of the pond. Our waffle cones are made fresh from scratch and each scoop is masterfully paddled into a spectacular spiral mound. Can’t decide which flavor to get? Easy, two scoops is the answer. Enjoy a nice walk through peaceful Menlo Park while imagining yourself on your next trip to Italy. It only takes a cone.

We source our fish from local fishermen as well as trailblazing farms that have changed everything about what it means to “farm fish”. When making the selection for our case we take into account the local fishermen, sustainability, carbon footprint, and above all else, quality.

The wine program at Il Mercato will be dynamic and ever changing. The wine programs at all Che Fico properties explore the bounty of Italy with a focus on small production, sustainably farmed and family owned wineries from the 20 Italian regions. We offer wines that express a place and tell the story of Italy’s endless bounty. We search for wines of elegance, balance and singularity. All of which will be showcased on our shelves.
